No. I put it toward paying for my daughters college and paying off a credit card.

Wonderful! Would you know the percentage you saved with the savings of 716.00 from your grocery total? I can't comprehend the 716 only in savings from coupon as I never spend more than 200 a month in groceries.

I average saving at least 70 percent of my bill by using coupons. If you read some of my other posts, there is totals listed of how much it was before coupons and what the total was. I also have one great trip where they PAID me 1.03 for buying 64.00 worth of groceries!!!!!!!!!!!

littlejo, please explain further your coupon philosophy. I have begun to wonder, should I clip ALL coupons? One time I went to the store and the checkout clerk rung through a coupon for an item I hadn't purchased. It still gave me a discount. Is this what you do? Please tell...

I never try to use coupons for products that I have not bought. THis is illegal and I dont want to get caught trying to do something that is wrong. I simply match the coupons in the sunday inserts to the sale papers are the stores I shop. Lowes foods will double coupons that are .99 and below so the coupons I had for .75 cents off the hot pockets I bought were doubled to 1.50 off. they were on sale for 1.29. that gave me .21 cents overage. the coupons for dukes mayo i had were .90 off that doubled to 1.80 and it was on sale for 1.50 giving me .30 cents a jar overage. you simply match the coupons to the sales papers and use the coupons on items that will get them for free or almost free.

I enjoy reading about other people's coupon victories but don't have any of my own. Our stores rarely double and never triple and most coupons are for things we don't use. Now and then I use a few but not like so many people do. I'm trying to learn more about it, though, and am looking for sources for coupons for items we will actually use. We have a local coupon group forming. That might help me out. Anyway, thanks for sharing your coupon adventures with us. I enjoy reading about them. Smile
